For a second, on the eve of the year 2017, time stood still. The medium that sets the pace of our highly performing society stumbled. For a full second.
Time isn't perfect, it is only approximately exact, yet it dominates the everyday as well as our entire lives. No day passes which doesn't have us looking at the clock. Time runs through our fingers, almost unfailingly. Other people seem to steal our time, while the railway network promises to afford us some. And absolutely no one can rid themselves of it.
The performance Zeit? Läuft. (Time? Running) treats of the phenomenon of time, cautiously examining different concepts of times with aesthetic means and questioning the everyday tyranny of time. With the help of vocal experimentation, live music, analogue and digital sound collages, media-visual spatial design, dance and text, a space for sound and experience is created that allows us to apprehend the ubiquitous tic-tac in a multi-sensory way, while searching for other solutions.
